CMED Undergraduate Internship

Are you looking for that perfect fall internship that will provide challenges, applicable job skills, and unique networking experiences? How about an internship with potential travel opportunities? The Center for Middle East Development (CMED) is seeking students interested in a two-quarter Conference Support Internship (fall 2024 – winter 2025).

Deadline to Apply: October 2 September 27 (encouraged to apply ASAP, as interviews will begin as soon as applications are submitted)
Interviews: October 1-4
Skills Assessments: October 7-11 (specific dates/times TBD)
Training: October 21-31 (specific dates/times TBD)
Shift Start Date: November 3-7 (TBD)
Internship End Date: February 28, 2025

Applicants are free to apply for more than one of CMED’s student positions, with separate applications for each—but note that each student may only hold one student position with CMED (including both interns and research assistants).

CMED is a UCLA organization housed within the International Institute. Under the direction of Political Science Research Professor, Dr. Steven L. Spiegel, CMED organizes virtual webinar events and off-campus international conferences. Additionally, the Center hosts visiting scholars, oversees the publication of a Routledge book series, and publishes a Center blog, “The Middle Easterner.”
