Rebecca Wolff: Ph.D candidate, UCLA Department of Art History (M.A.: Art History, Columbia University, 2014; B.A.: English Honors and Art History, University of Texas at Austin, 2011). Current research: modern and contemporary African art, art and armed conflict. I am currently writing my dissertation "Experience and Memory: The Nigerian Civil War (1967–70) and Its Effect on Nigerian Contemporary Art," which examines art produced both during and after the conflict through the lens of trauma, witnessing, and testimony.
I am the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Ufahamu, and I previously worked as an editor and an arts editor for the journal. It has been an honor to connect with scholars and artists on the African continent through these roles.
