Annette Mukabera serves in the Ugandan Parliament, which under the Ugandan Constitution guarantees women 30% of the seats. She is the youngest member in Parliament. Her presentation will address gender and political activism.

She holds a BA and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Makerere University. Before being elected to the national parliament, she served as Deputy Resident District Commissioner for Kibaale District, Deputy Speaker for Kisoro District, and Field Assistant Research International. Honorable Mukabera is also a Board member of the Women's Intercultural Network, an international non-profit organization based in San Francisco, California, that links women and girls across cultures, globally and in US communities.
A reception will be held after the presentation.
