Banu Eligur is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Crown Center for Middle East Studies at Brandies University . She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Brandeis University in 2006. Her research interests include political Islam, US-Turkish strategic relations, politics in the Middle East, Turkish foreign policy, and democratization.
This lecture is part of the Center for Near Eastern Studies Fall lecture series on The New Middle East: Five Years After 9/11, exploring the most recent events in the Middle East, while providing perspective and analysis from a variety of points of view.
