New database allows users to locate information on Chinese studies programs & Chinese language collections at institutions of higher learning in North America and Europe
The Chinese American Librarians Association has established a North America and Europe Chinese Collection Database (NAECCO), a tool designed to help users locate information on Chinese studies programs and collections in higher education in North America and Europe.
When input is completed, NAECCO will allow users to locate information of
Chinese studies programs and library collections, including contact
information, home page addresses, organizational characteristics,
collection sizes and strengths.
The project is sponsored by the 2000-2001 Publication Committee of the Chinese American Librarians Association, which includes Amy Tsiang, Librarian of UCLA's Richard C. Rudolph East Asian Library.
Beginning last year, information has started to be collected for this locator. A survey notice has been sent to all Chinese programs and collections in higher education to input the database.
NAECCO can be accessed at: <http://www2.lib.ku.edu/naecco/>
