The UCLA Center for the Study of International Migration seeks to foster research and instruction on international migration. In our view, the study of migration is like the process of migration itself: an activity that cuts across boundaries, in this case intellectual, and therefore one best pursued by drawing insights and methods from a variety of disciplines.

Our Mission & Values

The UCLA Center for the Study of International Migration seeks to foster research and instruction on international migration. It is a center designed for researchers investigating the relationship between migration and changing societies, the effects of globalization on human mobility, immigration integration, and much more. Through workshops, collaborative events, book presentations, and conferences, the Center aims to connect students, faculty, and community members and equip them with tools and information necessary for education and social transformation.
