Arash Naraghi received his Ph.D. in pharmacology from Tehran University (1991), and his MA and second Ph.D. in philosophy (focusing on philosophy of religion and ethics) from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2008). He was a member of editorial board of Kiyan (Persian Journal of Theological and Philosophical Studies published in Iran) from 1992 to 2001. His most recent publications include Ethics of Human Rights (Negahe Moaser, Tehran, 2010), The Soul’s Mirror: On Rumi’s Life and Ideas (Negahe Moaser, Tehran, 2010), A Theology of Absence: An Islamic Experience (Negahe Moaser, Tehran, 2011), and Toleration and Civility (Essays on Social Ethics), forthcoming. He is currently an assistant professor of philosophy and religion at Moravian College, PA.
