Ring in the Year of the Snake at the Chinese New Year’s Day Festival at the Hammer Museum.
Decorate your own paper lantern, try your hand at writing Chinese characters, learn about the Los Angeles Chinese food scene from Pulitzer Prize-winning L.A. food critic Jonathan Gold, and enjoy a concert of traditional Chinese music by the Music of China Ensemble of UCLA and songs from the children of Broadway Elementary School's Mandarin Immersion program.
Ammo at the Hammer will have a selection of Asian teas and Chinese New Year fare available for purchase.
This program is co-presented with Hammer Museum, UCLA Center for Chinese Studies, and the UCLA Confucius Institute.
