The UCLA Asia Institute invites you to a presentation and discussion forum with Michael van Walt, Executive President of the Kreddha Foundation and currently a Visiting Professor in the School of Historical Studies at IAS, Princeton.
The Kreddha Foundation’s primary activity is the mediation and implementation of peace agreements among states and populations involved in intrastate conflicts http://www.kreddha.org/ . Dr. van Walt has been the Dalai Lama’s international law advisor since 1984. In this presentation, he will focus on the mediation work the Foundation has done and why the Foundation puts such store on exploring the deeper historical and cultural context of conflict.
