Based on a novel by Shulamit Lappid, this feature film, by well-known Israeli director, Dan Wolman, is an historical epic that weaves the story of the first wave of European Jewish immigration to Israel with an unusual love story between Fania, a decisive young Russian immigrant, and Yechiel, a native Jew.
