Doctor John Sullivan is Professor-Researcher at the Autonomous University of Zacatecas. He is the director of two non-profit corporations: Instituto de Docencia e Investigación Etnológica de Zacatecas, A.C. in México; and the Macehualli Educational Research Program in the United States. He has a Ph.D in literature from the University of California, San Diego and is a Guggenheim Foundation recipient.

Dr. Sullivan will also discuss the 2012 IDIEZ Summer Nahuatl Institute at Cal State L.A.
