The UCLA Center for Middle East Development Presents
Dr. Hedieh Mirahmadi is President of the World Organization for Resource Development and Education, www.WORDE.org , an educational organization whose mission is to enhance communication and understanding between Muslim and non-Muslim communities, in order to mitigate social conflict and political instability and to promote international security. Her focus is on building community resilience against the ideology, infrastructure, and recruitment tactics of Islamist extremist movements.
Professor Bali is Acting Professor of Law at the UCLA School of Law. She teaches Public International Law, International Human Rights and a seminar on the Laws of War. Her research interests focus on public international law generally, including the intersection of international law and international relations as well as issues of non-proliferation, human rights and humanitarian law. She also has a strong interest in the comparative law of the Middle East.
This event is free and open to the public. Pay-by-space and all-day parking is available in lot 3.
