Interested in a travel study program in China? Want to reconnect with classmates and faculty from Shanghai and Beijing? Join us for an afternoon forum with faculty and students from the 2010 summer programs in Beijing and Shanghai and others who are teaching about and carrying out research on urban environments and development in China and Asia. The forum will explore the dynamics of change in Asian cities through the lens of global festivals such as Expos and Olympics. Students are encouraged to share their own experiences in Chinese cities this summer and consider how they might continue their studies on urban environment and development.

Join us for a discussion forum with:

R. Bin Wong (History & Asia Institute, UCLA-Travel Study Shanghai)
Susan Brownell (Anthropology, University of Missouri, St Louis-Guest Speaker, Shanghai)
Cindy Fan (Geography, UCLA-Travel Study, Beijing and Shanghai)
