About the Speakers
Fania Oz-Salzberger is a professor at the University of Haifa Faculty of Law and Founding Director of University of Haifa's Posen Research Forum for Jewish European and Israeli Political Thought. Professor Oz-Salzberger also holds the Leon Liberman Chair of Modern Israel Studies at Monash University and is currently the Laurance S. Rockefeller Visiting Professor for Distinguished Teaching at the University Center for Human Values at Princeton University.
Eli Salzberger is a Professor and former Dean of University of Haifa Faculty of Law. He is currently the 2009-2010 Microsoft / LAPA Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. Professor Salzberger clerked for both the past and present Chief Justices of the Israeli Supreme Court, Aharon Barak and Dorit Beinish.
Jonathan Varat is Professor of Law and former Dean of the UCLA School of Law, and is one of the nation’s leading experts on constitutional law. His scholarship focuses on constitutional federalism.
