The lecture explores the Foreign Policies of both Koreas (ROK and DPRK), particularly the bilateral relations with USA, China, Russia, and Japan, and the role of those players in an eventual Korean unification. Regarding the unification process, it will include some aspects of the inter-Korean relations and some internal aspects affecting them.
Martin Perez Le-Fort: assistant professor in the University of Chile, Director of the Asia-Pacific Center in the Institute of International Studies, University of Chile and Director of the Korean Studies Program in that University. B.A. in Sociology, M.A. in international Studies, University of Chile, PhD Candidate in Latin American Studies, Leiden University, Netherlands. His research interests include the International Relations of the Asia Pacific, especially the Latin American relations with North East Asia and the North East Asian regional relations (China, ROK, DPRK, Japan, Russia, and the role of USA).
