이 연구는 조선시대 필사본 음식 조리서를 기반으로 한 전통 음식 용어 검색 시스템을 개발하기 위한 연구이다. 당시의 필사본 음식조리서는 현대의 ‘요리책’에 해당하는 장르로, 주로 부녀자들을 중심으로 전해 내려 왔으며, 한글로 기록되어, 당시의 일상적인 삶을 반영하는 생활 어휘가 풍부하다. 이 연구는 한국 전통 음식에 관심을 가지는 일반인과 전통 조리학자를 비롯하여 음식조리서를 한국어사 자료로서 활용하고자 하는 한국어학자를 위해 유용한 자료로 활용될 것이다. 이 연구는 2007년 정부(교육인적자원부)의 재원으로 한국학술진흥재단의 지원을 받아 수행된 연구임(KRF-2007-322-A00050).

This research is on the development of a Customized Browser for food-related terms used in 17th to 19th century Korean culinary manuscripts. These manuscripts were mostly written by women using Hanguel, the unique writing system for the Korean language invented in 15th century. The customised brower for these culinary manuscripts may be utilized by not only culinary scholars of traditional foods and the general public who are interested in traditional Korean foods but also by Korean linguists who wish to make use of culinary manuscripts as research materials for the history of the Korean language. This research is supported by the Korean Research Foundation Grant funded by the Korean Government (MEST, Basic Research Promotion Fund) (KRF-2007-322-A00050).
