Radu Ioanid is Director of the International Archival Programs Division of the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. He is the author of The Sword of the Archangel: Fascist Ideology in Romania (1990), The Holocaust in Romania: The Destruction of Jews and Gypsies Under the Antonescu Regime, 1940-1944 (2000), The Ransom of the Jews: The Story of the Extraordinary Secret Bargain Between Romania and Israel (2005), as well as numerous articles and contributions to collections of essays.
