A discussion about what was happening in Berlin behind the scenes, what you did not get to hear, see, or read in the international media during the final days of the GDR's existence. Former US ambassador to the GDR Richard Barkley, Academy Award winning director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and a special guest discuss what the people did to take on the system, what the US government was doing at that time, and how Berlin was a symbol of a divided world. Moderated by Gregory Rodriguez, Irvine Senior Fellow and Director of the California Fellows Program at New America Foundation.
