Lecture by Professor Dain Borges from the University of Chicago.
The Center for Brazilian Studies Working Group presents a lecture by Dain Borges, Associate Professor of History and Director of the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Chicago. He has edited a translation of Machado de Assis's *Esau and Jacob*, and he is working on an history of the social thought of Machado's generation in Rio de Janeiro.
