
Colloquium with Dr. Suthin Nophaket, Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand
Dr. Suthin Nophaket, in addition to his position as Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission of Thailand, is also Founder and Chairman of the Council of Good Governance for Community Development of Thailand, Founder and Chairman of the Institute of Human Rights Protection and Development, Founder and Chairman of the Children and Youths' Rights and Youths' Leadership Development Center, and an Ambassador for Peace, Universal Peace Federation/ IIFWP. In his past political career he served as a member of the Thai Parliament in a number of leadership positions, as well as serving as an Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister (1984-86) and to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives.
In business he was Founder and Chairman of the Institute of Management Development (1980-2001), among other positions. In education he served as Chairman of the Management Department of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), and founded two graduates schools in Dhurakitbundit University and St. John's University. He received his B.A. from Chulalongkorn University, his MBA from UCLA, his MPA from USC, and his Ph.D. degree from Claremont Graduate University.
