
A discussion with Dr. Noam Yifrach, Chairman of Maghen David Adom of Israel and Mr. Younis Al-Khatib, President of the Palestine Red Crescent, recipients of the 2008 American Red Cross Humanitarian Prize
Dr. Noam Yifrach, Chairman of Maghen David Adom's (Red Cross National Society of Israel) and Mr. Younis Al-Khatib, President of the Palestine Red Crescent will receive the inaugural American Red Cross Humanitarian Prize in Washington D.C. on November 18th in recognition of "the historic work they have personally accomplished in establishing a formal, ongoing collaboration which has resulted in a more thoroughly integrated humanitarian response to the needs of Palestinians and Israelis."
On November 21st, they will be speaking at UCLA about humanitarian conditions for Israelis and Palestinians as well as their successful efforts to foster cooperation between MDA and the PRC on the basis of the Red Cross's fundamental principles. A continental breakfast will be available.
