Laura Alonso, 'Fighting the invisible hand of corruption'

Laura Alonso is the Executive Director of Poder Ciudadano – one of the most important Argentine NGOs – and of the Argentine Chapter of Transparency International.  As a social leader, Ms. Alonso works to encourage and sustain mechanisms that promote the rule of law and develop active and informed citizens. Ms. Alonso is also a professor of political science with a focus on Argentine Government at the University of CEMA. 

The event is open to the whole UCLA community and the general public; and co-sponsored by the UCLA Center for Argentina, Chile and the Southern Cone, and the UCLA Program in Public Interest Law & Policy. Lunch will be available at the event.
