Dr. Murillo will discuss the current obstacles facing Colombia that have resulted from conflicting political and economic models: neo-liberalism and social democracy. Dr. Murillo will also address the diminished credibility of electoral institutions and political parties that have contributed to a lack of political participation among the Colombian citizenry. In conclusion, he will offer insight into the future of Colombia and address the steps necessary in order to create a stronger democratic nation.
