Major Tara Leweling, USAF, is pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Sciences at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, under sponsorship of the U.S. Air Force Academy. Her research interests include virtual organizing and mobilizing by underground organizations, trans-national networks as system-challenging actors, and the theoretical underpinnings of information warfare as a military concept. She has served in plans and operations positions at several joint, coalition, and Service commands and has commanded an Air Force detachment.
