About the book:
Reyna Grande’s latest book is an inspirational coming-of-age story about the pursuit of a better life. Grande shares her personal, heart-wrenching, and ultimately triumphant journey from Mexico to the US as an undocumented child. A journey in which she learned that the separation between a parent and child can be measured as much in emotional distance and abandonment as it can be in miles. Grande’s story offers a poignant look into the daily life and experience of millions of undocumented peoples to the US.
