The U.S. Economy has continued to tread water with sluggish growth through the first half of 2008 in spite of a spate of bad news about high oil prices, high food prices, a weak financial sector with failure and near failure of large institutions and high consumer debt.
Given California’s role as a primary gateway for trade and commerce with the fast growing East, it is more important than ever that we gain additional insights into the intricacies and interconnectedness of the global economy.
