The 2009 Daniel Pearl Memorial Lecture will be held on Sunday, May 17th at 5:00 pm. Doors open at 4PM, vacant seats will be filled at 4:45 pm. It will be held at the UCLA Ackerman Grand Ballroom. Parking for this event is in Parking Lot 4, there will be directional signage the day of the event to help you find a parking space and find the event location. All general attendee ticketing will take place on the Terrace Court Patio you will see signs when you exit the parking structure.
Directions to Parking Lot 4
Parking Lot 4 is an underground structure located on the northern part of campus. There are Pay-by-Space parking spaces that have been reserved for this event. Please make note of your parking space number, locate a Parking Pay Station after you park and pay the parking permit fee. Parking Pay Stations currently accept $1 and $5 dollar bills, as well as VISA, MasterCard and Discover credit cards. Please use exact payments only. From Sunset Boulevard, turn onto Westwood Plaza to enter campus and drive through the stoplight intersection to enter the parking structure driveway. There will be signs directing you left to Pay-by-Space parking.
From Wilshire Boulevard, turn onto Westwood Boulevard and follow it into campus (it will turn into Westwood Plaza). Pass the Parking & Information Kiosk and at Strathmore (a stoplight intersection) turn left to head under the bridge. At the next stop light intersection you will turn right onto Charles E. Young Drive West. Continue on Charles E. Young Drive West as it curves to the right and becomes Charles E. Young Drive North. At the stoplight intersection (Westwood Plaza) you will see the parking structure entrance, drive into the driveway and follow the signs directing you left to Pay-by-Space parking.
Driving Directions to UCLA Campus
The closest major airport to UCLA is the Los Angeles International Airport, LAX. From LAX, take the 405 Freeway north to the Wilshire Blvd. East exit. Continue east on Wilshire for several blocks, moving into the left lane. Make a left turn on Westwood Blvd. and follow it into campus (it will turn into Westwood Plaza).
