Professor Laura Nenzi from University of Tennessee is the second of UCLA's three finalist candidates for the Early Modern/Modern Japanese History faculty position. Her talk, “An Extra on the Stage of History: Kurosawa Tokiko’s Political Activism in late-Tokugawa Japan,” is open to the campus community. A reception will follow.
