From Tyler : ACFP Supporters - YOU are what keeps A Chance for Peace in Kenya going!
Through fundraising, events, and simple word of mouth, we have grown in the few short months since our inception.
Now, with only 2 1/2 weeks left until production begins in Kenya , we are counting on you to help us get over that hump that will make A Chance for Peace a reality. This film will capture the voice of the Kenyan people and your efforts will move others to aide Kenya 's redevelopment and the 500,000 refugees still suffering.
What we've done now is make a short 3 min. educational video to show you - and everyone else - what we are doing to educate people on the crisis in Kenya.

It may seem out of reach, but we still have about $3500 left to raise before Aug 17th. [If you cannot attend the dance event, but would like to support this effort, please contact Tyler or go to the website for more info.]
Just another tool to help us raise not only funds, but more importantly AWARENESS on an issue of life and death, getting pushed aside because the news would rather report on celebrity baby news or the latest You Tube star.
Please, empower yourself and others!
Be an ambassador of hope and a catalyst for change in Kenya!
Forward this email to everyone you know and we can ALL make A Chance for Peace a reality!
Thank you for your support,
Tyler Batson

A Chance for Peace is a documentary film, which hopes to answer the question, “Is Peace possible?” in Kenya following last year’s tragic post-election violence. Currently a crew of five students and film and photography professionals are readying to return to Kenya where they volunteered just two months before a presidential election that resulted in killings, population displacement, and heavily politicized conflict. The long-term goals of the film/project are to raise funds and awareness on the issues of development, education, human rights and public health in Kenya.
About A Chance for Peace (ACFP), Tyler Batson:
A Chance for Peace (ACFP) is your chance to become part of an international movement! ACFP is part charitable organization, part documentary film. Currently we are fundraising for the production and promotion of this one-of-a-kind film, as well as raising awareness through events, talks, and simple word-of-mouth networking. To begin production in August 2008, time is critical. As amateur documentary filmmakers and students we are reaching out to established organizations and entities for support.
If you cannot attend the event, but would like to support this effort or want more information, contact Tyler Batson, film director and CEO of A Chance for Peace at tyler_batson@achanceforpeace.com or call 310-739-2287or mail:
