Education Abroad Program - Alumni
Published: Monday, August 29, 2005
EAP alumni are arguably the most important resource to the continued success of the program. UCLA students often first imagine study abroad as a viable option when they hear a returned student share their experience in a class or other campus setting. Likewise, outbound students benefit greatly from hearing first-hand what other UCLA students have experienced in their EAP destination.
EAP is always developing new ways to involve returnees while they are still at UCLA. One exciting way that UCLA students returning from EAP study abroad can remain involved is through the Education 142 course, "Fieldwork in Education: Continuing the EAP Experience," taught by Education Professor and EAP Faculty Director Val Rust.
EAP alumni from all years provide UCLA students with perspectives on how the EAP experience can help pave their career paths. We are developing plans to keep UCLA alumni connected to EAP, as it celebrates it's 40th anniversary, adds new programs and countries, and seeks new ways to learn from those whose lives were impacted by their EAP experience.If you are an EAP alumnus/a and are interested in:
- assisting in our efforts to offer expanded alumni activities;
- being on our alumni mailing list;
